Job summary

Sodexo Group is recruiting an Inflight Catering Food Service Assistant to support the Armed Forces at RAF Brize Norton. The role focuses on stocking aircraft, assembling catering items for flight service, and working safely with airside teams.

You will join a hands-on, fast-paced environment requiring strong teamwork, effective communication and a proactive attitude. Full training is provided, with a shift pattern including days, late days and nights.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Friendly, positive attitude with professionalism and respect for others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible and proactive approach to work.
• Basic food-handling knowledge is a bonus; full training provided.
• Colour perception test is required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload catering equipment and supplies onto aircraft
• Prepare and assemble catering items for flight service
• Operate vehicles on the airfield safely and efficiently
• Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Marshal high-lift vehicles and support airside operations
• Communicate effectively with military personnel
• Support both front and back of house operations – no two days are the same!
• Respond to food and beverage enquiries and special requests
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all catering areas
• Complete daily checklists and compliance documentation accurately
• Assist with basic admin tasks related to operational catering

• 37.5 hours per week
• 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off
• Weekday Day Shift - 07:00 - 16:00, Late Day Shift - 10:30 - 19:30, Weekend Day Shift - 07:00 - 19:30, Night Shift - 19:00 - 07:30
• £12.91 (+15% for night shifts)
• Must have a full clean UK driving licence
• Car parking available
