Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Aircraft Interior Technician in East London to join the maintenance team. You will handle maintenance, repair and refurbishment of cabin interiors, ensuring passenger comfort and aircraft presentation while adhering to aviation standards.

The role requires experience with cabin materials, reading technical drawings, and proficient use of hand and power tools to install systems such as IFE, lighting and power outlets. Collaboration and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as Aircraft Interior Technician or related refurbishment/upholstery role.
• Experience with cabin materials (fabrics, composites, plastics, metals).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and repair schemes.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repair and replacement of interior components (seats, galleys, lavatories, overhead bins, carpeting).
• Conduct inspections and report wear/damage; recommend repairs.
• Execute cosmetic refurbishments to maintain cabin aesthetics and functionality.
• Install and troubleshoot cabin interior systems (IFE, lighting, power outlets).
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer specs, airworthiness standards and safety regs.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and proper tool/storage procedures.
