Job summary

AirTanker in the United Kingdom is seeking a Shift Manager Base to lead day-to-day aircraft base maintenance, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe and compliant maintenance on time.

You will work within the Base Maintenance Senior Management Team, driving safety culture, resource planning and process improvements while deputising for the Head of Base Maintenance when required.

Qualifications

• UK CAA Aircraft Maintenance Licence required.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary aviation teams.
• Experience with heavy maintenance on Airbus wide-body aircraft.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Base Maintenance operations during shift.
• Coordinate manpower, facilities, tooling and resources to deliver maintenance plans.
• Provide leadership and direction to a team of aviation professionals.
• Drive a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with airworthiness, safety and company standards.
• Support recruitment, development and performance management of team members.
• Deputise for the Head of Base Maintenance when required.
