Job summary

Ikwezi Mining (Pty) Ltd is seeking an Air Conditioning Technician with a focus on industrial, mobile, or mining equipment air conditioning systems. You will repair, service, and maintain equipment on site and in workshops, ensuring timely reports and compliance with safety procedures.

Qualified candidates will have Matric/Grade 12 and Post-matric/N3, valid driver’s license, and proven field service experience. Flexibility in shifts and field locations is required.

• Proven field service experience on industrial, mobile or mining air conditioning systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work flexible shifts.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting repair and service work both on site and in the workshop
• Machine assessments and complete job cards
• Repair and replace faulty components such as compressors, fans, motors and refrigerants
• Respond to emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime
• Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
• Tie workflow to schedule
• Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
• Produce timely and detailed service reports
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems
• Follow all companys filed procedures and protocols
• Co-operate with technical team and share information across the organisation

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 Certificate English literacy essential
• Post matric qualification / N3
• Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Technician, with a focus on industrial, mobile, or mining equipment air conditioning systems
• Relevant tertiary training or certificates would be advantageous
• Valid drivers license
• Proven field service experience
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
• Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
