The Civil Aviation Authority is seeking an Inspector ATS (Operations) to lead oversight of Air Traffic Services providers, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across the UK. Based near Gatwick, you will conduct audits, inspections and assessments, shaping regulatory priorities with industry partners.

You will evaluate organisational capability, personnel competence, and safety management arrangements, advising on proportionate interventions.

Qualifikationen

• Significant operational experience within an ATS environment.
• Knowledge of UK ATM/ANS regulatory requirements and ICAO standards.
• Understanding of ATS personnel licensing frameworks.
• Experience applying risk-based oversight approaches.
• Ability to influence organisations to improve safety and compliance.

Aufgaben

• Plan, lead and deliver audits, inspections and assurance activities.
• Act as technical specialist for allocated organisations and support PB OverSight.
• Assess competence for licences, ratings and privileges.
• Evaluate governance, safety management systems and safety culture.
• Lead investigations into regulatory concerns and safety issues.
• Analyse safety data to identify trends and regulatory priorities.
• Build relationships with regulated organisations while maintaining independence.
• Represent the CAA at meetings and stakeholder engagements.
• Contribute to regulatory policy development and improvement initiatives.
• Coach and mentor colleagues and support inspector training.
