Qualifications

Job description

Our client is looking for an experienced Air Import Agent - Sunday to Thursday, 7am to 3.30pm.

Summary Description

Ensure the proper and timely movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Air Import department.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system.
  3. Track and trace Air Import files as required.
  4. Ensure timely delivery of freight to customers for import shipments.
  5. Ensure documents are timely sent to customers or brokers for customs purposes.
  6. Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing.
  7. Interact with customers to arrange international shipments, meeting customer service standards.
  8. Maintain strong relationships with vendors (airlines, trucking companies, etc.).
  9. Comply with all regulations, including internal policies, operational standards, and government regulations.
  10. Understand department process flow and seek continuous efficiency improvements.
  11. Follow and update all customer standard operating procedures in the DLSOP.
  12. Meet KPI standards as per company procedures.
  13. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, responding promptly to emails and requests.
  14. Complete at least 52 hours of training per year per employee.
  15. Promote compliance with all policies and regulations, demonstrating integrity and pride in work.
Skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills with strong listening, comprehension, and communication abilities.
  • Proactive with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word).
  • Fluent in English.
Education and Experience

6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The working hours are Sunday to Thursday, 7am to 3.30pm.

Salary is based on experience.
