Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Business Development Manager with an Air Freight background to drive new business and revenue across the North West. You will build a robust pipeline, win accounts, and collaborate with Operations, Telesales and Marketing from a hybrid base in Manchester.

The role offers remote working with one day per week in the Manchester office, a competitive salary (£40,000–£50,000) with an OTE £90,000+ and a company car, plus ongoing training on Sea and Road Freight

Qualifications

• Experience in Air Freight Forwarding and freight logistics.
• Willing to travel/commute to Manchester office one day a week.
• Proven track record of winning new business and developing long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Win new business with a focus on Air Freight solutions.
• Build and manage a pipeline of target accounts across the North West.
• Drive revenue and gross profit growth.
• Develop long-term relationships with key customers.
• Work closely with Operations, Telesales and Marketing.
• Attend industry events and maintain accurate CRM records.
• Receive training to develop knowledge of Sea and Road Freight.
• Work collaboratively across the wider business to support regional sales targets.
