Branta Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Technical Air Conditioning Supervisor to lead a regional team of AC engineers, provide technical direction, and ensure F-Gas compliance across sites.

Qualifications

• Time-served air conditioning engineer with extensive commercial HVAC maintenance experience.
• F-Gas Category 1 (C&G 2079 / CITB) essential; NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning preferred.
• Proven supervisory experience leading a mobile team of AC engineers in a commercial FM setting.
• Hands-on leader with strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Deep knowledge of F-Gas regulations, H&S legislation, and safe working practices.
• Full UK Driving Licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership as the primary escalation point for field engineers.
• Lead and mentor a mobile team of 10-15 F-Gas engineers; monitor productivity and quality.
• Conduct site audits, quality checks, and technical inspections to maintain first-time fix rates and SFG20 compliance.
• Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations, H&S policies, RAMS, and site protocols.
• Assist with site surveys, technical reports, and scope for replacements, upgrades, quotes.
• Build strong relationships with key clients and provide expert advice on system performance.

Branta Recruitment is partnering with a high-growth, specialist mechanical service provider to recruit a Technical Air Conditioning Supervisor.

Our client has built an outstanding reputation for excellence in the commercial maintenance sector and is rapidly scaling their operations nationwide. This is a crucial leadership role for an experienced senior engineer or supervisor looking to lead from the front, manage a regional field team, and take the next step toward a full Management role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Serve as the primary technical escalation point for field engineers, providing on-site and remote guidance for complex VRF, VRV, Chillers, and Close Control systems.
• Team Supervision: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of 10-15 mobile F-Gas engineers, overseeing their daily productivity, work quality, and skill development.
• Service Delivery & Auditing: Conduct regular site audits, quality checks, and technical inspections to maintain high first-time fix rates and strict SFG20 compliance.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all team members adhere strictly to F-Gas regulations, health & safety policies, RAMS, and site protocols.
• Commercial Support: Assist with site surveys, technical reports, and scope preparation for system replacements, upgrades, and remedial quotes.
• Client Liaison: Build strong relationships with key commercial clients, providing expert advice on complex technical queries and system performance.

Requirements:

• Technical Background: Time-served Air Conditioning Engineer with extensive commercial HVAC maintenance experience.
• Qualifications: F-Gas Category 1 (C&G 2079 / CITB) is essential. NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning preferred.
