Role Description

This is a full-time, field-based role for a Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer covering the North West of England and North Wales, with occasional nationwide travel.

Key responsibilities include:

• Servicing, commissioning, and maintaining refrigeration and air conditioning systems (including chilled water, split, and VRF systems)
• Diagnosing and repairing faults in commercial and industrial environments
• Attending planned maintenance visits and emergency service call-outs
• Participating in an on-call rota (overtime paid at double time for out-of-hours work)
• Training apprentices
• Reporting on system performance and making recommendations to management
• Opportunities for ongoing training and development are available

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of general refrigeration, chilled water systems, split & VRF A/C systems
• Proven experience as a mobile service engineer in HVAC
• F-Gas 2079 certification and NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent)
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• A full UK driving licence
• Experience working in commercial or industrial settings
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
