Job summary

Mitie is seeking an Air Conditioning Engineer in Preston to maintain and repair HVAC systems, including VRV/VRF and heat pumps, performing PPMs and reactive work.

You will operate across site locations, ensure accurate maintenance logs and documentation, and maintain compliance with Health & Safety and Permit to Work procedures. A requirement is SC clearance due to site access.

Qualifications

• Maintenance and repair of AC systems including VRV/VRF and heat pumps.
• Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) and reactive work.
• Adherence to Health & Safety and Permit to Work procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPMs on air conditioning systems.
• Work on refrigeration equipment such as chilled cabinets / multideck or ice machines when required.
• Complete all work-related documentation and logs accurately and promptly.

Job description

ROLE: Air Conditioning Engineer
HOURS: 40 hours per week 08:30 – 17:00 - Full Time
LOCATION: Preston

We're looking for an Air Conditioning Engineer who will be responsible for undertaking the maintenance (PPM & Reactive) and repair of AC systems, VRV/VRF systems and heat pumps.

Role Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) on air conditioning systems
• You may also be required to work on refrigeration equipment such as chilled cabinets / multideck or ice machines
• You would have knowledge of installation designs and bespoke manufacturer troubleshooting procedures and be expected to complete all work-related documentation in an accurate and timely manner, keeping logs on inspection reports and remedial works

Required Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air-Conditioning or Heating & Ventilation
• Relevant qualifications in F-Gas & ODS regulations
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and Permit to Work procedures
• Please be advised due to the nature of sites worked on, you will be required to undertake an SC Clearance check
