Interaction Recruitment has partnered with a well-established national company to recruit an Air Conditioning Engineer based in Northamptonshire. The role covers breakdowns, service, maintenance and installations on a range of HVAC systems, with a field-based schedule and travel across surrounding areas.

You will work on VRF/VRV, splits, cold rooms and chillers, using a range of hand tools and power tools. A full UK driving licence is essential and pension, training and ongoing development are

Qualifications

• HVAC experience with air conditioning and/or refrigeration is essential.
• Good level of electrical and/or mechanical knowledge is essential.
• NVQ or City & Guilds in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration is advantageous.
• F-Gas Cat 1 is advantageous.
• Experience using hand and electrical tools is advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns, service, maintenance and installations on HVAC systems (commercial and domestic).
• Use hand tools, electrical tools and leak detection equipment.
• Perform electrical, electronic, mechanical fault finding and repairs on HVAC systems from brands like Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, Panasonic and Fujitsu.
• Manage time effectively to complete work to a high standard and on schedule.
• Liaise with clients to meet their needs promptly and professionally.
• Complete paperwork and report faults found or rectified; follow health and safety procedures.

Job Role: Air Conditioning Engineer

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire (Accepting Applicants From Surrounding Counties)

Salary: £33,000-£37,000 base salary (OTE £40,000 - £50,000+)

Hours: Monday-Friday 08.00-17.00 + Door to Door Paid + Overtime @ 1.5x

The client:

Interaction have partnered with a well established national company who support Blue Chip Clients with Installation, Breakdowns, Service and Maintenance with Air conditioning and Refrigeration Systems, as they are looking for a field based engineer based in Northamptonshire, travelling and working in surrounding areas. Our client has been established for over 40 years and our looking to expand their field base team further, due to new large contract being taken over.

The package:

• 30 days holiday including bank holidays

The Duties:

• To attend breakdowns, service, maintenance and installations on an array of Commercial and Domestic HVAC systems, Eg. VRF, VRV, Splits, Cold Rooms and Chillers
• The use of manual hand tools (Spanners, Screwdrivers), electrical hand tools (powered drills), Hot working tools (Brazing), Leak detection tools.
• To carry out electrical, electronic, mechanical fault finding and repairs on HVAC systems inc. Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, Panasonic, Fujitsu plus more.
• To manage your time effectively to ensure work is carried out to a high standard in a timely manner.
• Dealing and leasing with clients to fulfil their needs to the highest of standards and in a timely manner.
• Complete paperwork efficiently and report any faults found or rectified.
• Ensure Health & Safety Procedures are followed.

The Requirements:

• HVAC experience working with Air Conditioning and or Refrigeration systems (Essential)
• A good level of electrical and ormechanical knowledge (Essential)
• Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (Advantageous)
• F-Gas Cat 1 (Advantageous)
• Experience using Hand & Electrical tools. (Advantageous)
• Previous experience as a field based engineer. (Advantageous)
• Full UK Drivers License
