Job summary

PRS is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to maintain chillers, AHU and split systems across Leeds/Yorkshire. The role involves completing PPM and reactive maintenance to a high standard, diagnosing faults, and liaising with electrical and BMS teams. A strong knowledge of HVAC plant and customer-facing professionalism is essential.

Salary is circa £42,000–£43,000 basic per year, with overtime and on-call payments. A company van is supplied, and a Monday–Friday schedule applies.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Engineer.
• Experience with chillers, AHU and split systems.
• Excellent customer-facing communication.
• F-Gas 2079 handling certification.
• Valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Complete PPM and reactive maintenance on chillers, AHU and split systems.
• Diagnose faults and repair leaks.
• Liaise with BMS and electrical building services teams.
• Advise on AC and air cooling based on current theory.
• Assist with ad-hoc maintenance tasks when required.
• Complete small works, installation and refurbishment of AC and cooling equipment.
• Maintain HVAC kit records and monitor maintenance schedules including F-Gas records.

Position: Air Conditioning Engineer
Type: Permanent
Location: Leeds/Yorkshire
Salary: circa £43,000 PA Basic plus OT and on-call etc.
The position requires an Air Conditioning engineer that can complete maintenance operations to a high standard with a good basic knowledge of general HVAC plant. Salary is circa £42,000 - £43,000 basic. Monday to Friday 40 hours per week plus overtime. On-call payment. Van etc. supplied.

Duties for the Air Conditioning Engineer

• - complete PPM and reactive maintenance to chillers, AHU and split systems plus fan coil units
• - diagnose faults and leak repair
• - liaise with electrical building services and BMS teams, providing overlap where required
• - ideally to provide the site with AC and air cooling advice based on current theory and knowledge
• - assist with general ad-hoc maintenance tasks where required
• - complete small works, installation and refurbishment of AC and cooling equipment
• - maintain and manage the records for all HVAC kit on the facility and provide a monitoring service for the critical maintenance schedules including F-Gas records

Air Conditioning Engineer Requirements

• - building services knowledge, to have been exposed to all aspects of building services including basic electrical knowledge
• - highly articulate and presentable with excellent customer facing skills
• - Chiller / refrigeration
• - IT literate and good record/data keeping skills
• - F-Gas 2079 safe handling of refrigerants
• - valid driving license
