Orion Building Engineering Services Ltd - AC Engineer

Orion Building Engineering Services Ltd has a fantastic opportunity to expand our team of experienced AC Engineers covering Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, North London, and surrounding areas.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, servicing, fault finding, diagnosis, and repairs on equipment including VRFs, split-type air conditioning, and refrigeration plant.

Duties

• Conduct routine planned maintenance and service requirements, working independently to locate and diagnose faults and concerns.
• Demonstrate familiarity with F-Gas requirements.
• Test AC installations in line with current F-Gas regulations and record results electronically.
• Install AC systems compliant with F-Gas regulations, including heating and cooling systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service, address client questions, and relay inquiries to the office.
• Repair and/or replace faulty AC installations, such as leaks and controls, and assess parts needed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years experience as an AC Engineer in a relevant role, post-qualification.
• F-Gas qualification to C&G 2079 (Essential).
• NVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (Essential).
• NVQ Level 3 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (Desirable).
• Knowledge of current F-Gas regulations (Essential).
• Good computer skills, including using PDA/Compliance systems for reporting.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Good presentation, planning, organizational skills, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• Clean UK Driving License.
• Clean DBS Record.
