Job summary

Smart Search Technical Ltd is seeking an experienced AC & Refrigeration Engineer to join the Peterborough team. The role focuses on installation, maintenance and fault-finding across industrial HVAC, air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including VRV/VRF, AHUs and cold rooms.

The position is site-based with a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday. Benefits include a company van, phone and tablet, tools provided or allowance, 22 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, a 3% employer pension, ongoing

Qualifications

• Strong industrial HVAC/AC/refrigeration experience.
• Experience with installation, maintenance and fault-finding.
• Full UK driving licence and independent working ability.

Responsibilities

• Site-based work across industrial HVAC, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Install, maintain and fault-find on VRV/VRF systems, AHUs and cold rooms.

Location: Peterborough (PE1 5XL) surrounding area, up to 2 hours

Salary: £41,288 (£19.85 per hour) + overtime + company van

The Role

We are looking for an experienced AC & Refrigeration Engineer to join our Peterborough team.

The role is predominantly site-based, covering installation, maintenance and fault-finding across industrial HVAC, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

You will work on VRV/VRF systems, AHUs and cold rooms, alongside maintenance and project work.

Requirements

• Strong industrial HVAC/AC/refrigeration experience

• Relevant AC/Refrigeration qualification F-Gas, City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent

• Experience with installation, maintenance and fault-finding

• Comfortable working independently and dealing with clients

• Experience completing commissioning paperwork

• Full UK driving licence

• Good attention to detail and high standard of workmanship
