Job description

We are recruiting for a new Air Conditioning Engineer to join the Mitie Team based in the Bradford/Burnley area.

As an Air Conditioning Engineer, you will carry out duties in compliance with Mitie Technical Facilities Management Ltd Policies and Procedures. You will promote Mitie's One Code, which reflects our company's values and behaviors. Your tasks should be performed professionally to meet both client and Mitie expectations, always working in accordance with Health and Safety policies and legislation.

Main Duties

1. Operate and maintain new and existing building AC/HVAC services efficiently.
2. Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance on HVAC appliances.
3. Conduct diagnostic checks and fault finding.
4. Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time.
5. Carry out routine PPM tasks in line with the SGF20 framework, as well as reactive maintenance and electrical/air conditioning repairs as needed.
6. Collaborate with Mitie disciplines to carry out necessary works.
7. Assist the site team, ensure adherence to client operational procedures, and complete risk assessments and worksheets for works undertaken, obtaining approval from the client’s representative.

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have a Refrigeration or Air Conditioning specific qualification, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning or Small Refrigeration.

It is desirable to hold an electrical qualification. A UK Driving license with no more than 6 points is essential, as driving constitutes 50% of the role.
