Job summary

FM Search & Select Ltd is recruiting an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a mobile team covering commercial sites across Aberdeen. The role is hands-on, with fault finding, servicing and repairs, and involves travel between sites with on-call duties.

You will work independently within a wider engineering and planning team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to high standards. A recognised HVAC qualification and a valid F-Gas certificate are required.

Qualifications

• HVAC/Air Conditioning qualifications required.
• Experience with commercial HVAC systems is essential.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across commercial sites.
• Service, maintain and fault find on Air Conditioning and HVAC systems.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs.
• Work towards high first-time-fix rate and minimise downtime.
• Order and fit replacement parts when required.
• Complete work orders accurately within SLA timescales.
• Carry out checks, surveys and technical reports.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety requirements.
• Liaise with customers and site teams professionally.
• Support other engineers and apprentices when required.
• Participate in the on-call rota.

Air Conditioning Engineer - Aberdeen

Salary: £42,500 per annum
Location: Aberdeen / Mobile
Permanent | Full-Time

We're recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a mobile engineering team covering commercial sites across the Aberdeen area.

This is a hands-on maintenance role covering both planned and reactive works, with responsibility for fault finding, repairs and ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard. You'll be working independently across a mobile portfolio while having the support of a wider engineering and planning team.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across commercial sites
• Servicing, maintaining and fault finding on Air Conditioning and HVAC systems
• Diagnosing equipment faults and completing repairs
• Working towards a high first-time-fix rate and minimising equipment downtime
• Ordering and fitting replacement parts and components where required
• Completing work orders accurately and within agreed SLA timescales
• Carrying out relevant checks, surveys and technical reports
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety requirements
• Liaising with customers and site teams in a professional manner
• Supporting other engineers and apprentices where required
• Participating in the on-call rota

What we're looking for

• Experienced Air Conditioning Engineer with a strong maintenance background
• Recognised HVAC / Air Conditioning qualification
• Good knowledge of commercial HVAC systems
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience working within commercial or FM environments
• Able to manage a mobile workload and work without supervision
• Comfortable working in customer-facing environments
• Full UK driving licence
• F-Gas qualification
