Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking aSenior Solution Architect to own end-to-end Microsoft 365 and AI workplace architectures. The role covers SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Power Platform, with responsibility for security, compliance, and scalable design.

You will mentor teams, drive reference architectures, and guide executive briefings. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in Microsoft 365 delivery, strong leadership, and hands-on experience with Copilot and Azure AI

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
10+ years in Microsoft 365 and collaboration platform delivery.
At least 3 years in a solution architecture or design authority role.
Proven experience architecting SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft Active Directory at enterprise scale.
Deep expertise in Microsoft Purview, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Cloud Apps, and Microsoft 365 security and compliance controls.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end architecture for Microsoft 365 and AI workplace projects across SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Power Platform.
Define target-state designs, reference architectures, and migration roadmaps for legacy-to-Microsoft 365 transformations.
Design Copilot and agent solutions, grounding data strategies and integration patterns.
Architect data protection and compliance using Microsoft Purview.
Define AI governance frameworks for Copilot licensing, access control, and responsible AI practices.
Set architectural standards for identity, CA, and cross-tenant operating models.
Act as design authority across delivery teams and review solutions for security, scalability, performance, and cost.
Mentor engineers and consultants and set development, deployment, and documentation standards.
Lead architecture workshops, design authority boards, and executive briefings.
Translate technical decisions into business outcomes and support pre-sales with technical responses.

Own end-to-end architecture for Microsoft 365 and AI workplace projects across SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Power Platform
Define target-state designs, reference architectures, and migration roadmaps for legacy-to-Microsoft 365 transformations
Design Copilot and agent solutions, grounding data strategies, retrieval patterns, Copilot Studio agents, and line-of-business integrations
Architect data protection and compliance using Microsoft Purview, including sensitivity labels, DLP, retention, records management, insider risk, and audit
Define AI governance frameworks for Copilot licensing, access control, oversharing remediation, and responsible AI use
Set architectural standards for identity, conditional access, tenant configuration, and cross-tenant or multi-tenant operating models
Act as design authority across delivery teams and review solutions for security, scalability, performance, and cost
Own technical risk, dependency, and interdependency management and elevate to project leadership
Mentor engineers and consultants and set development, deployment, and documentation standards using Azure DevOps
Lead architecture workshops, design authority boards, and executive briefings
Translate technical decisions into business outcomes
Support pre-sales by shaping solution approaches, effort estimates, and technical responses
Contribute to internal reference architectures and reusable assets

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field
10+ years in Microsoft 365 and collaboration platform delivery
At least 3 years in a solution architecture or design authority role
Proven experience architecting SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft Active Directory at enterprise scale
Deep expertise in Microsoft Purview, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Cloud Apps, and Microsoft 365 security and compliance controls
Hands-on architectural experience with Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI Desktop, and Microsoft Dataverse
Expertise in PowerShell, PnP, Python, JavaScript, C#, JSON, Power Query (DAX), REST APIs, and GraphQL
Experience with Microsoft Dataverse, Microsoft SQL, MySQL, and AI-driven data analytics
Experience designing cross-tenant migrations, automation, and multi-tenant environments
Strong understanding of AI governance, compliance, and responsible AI practices
Excellent communication, leadership, and client engagement skills
Advanced expertise in Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio agent development, and Azure AI services integrated with Microsoft 365
Experience producing reference architectures, design authority artefacts, and technical assurance documentation in a consulting environment
Familiarity with Azure landing zones, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
Microsoft certifications such as MS-900, MS-700, MS-102, SC-100, AZ-305, and AI-102 are a plus
