Job summary

Glyndŵr University is seeking a Digital Systems & AI Integration Associate to drive a Welsh SMART partnership project with Flintshire County Council. The role will lead the design, build and embedding of an AI decision support tool to improve frontline housing services.

You will collaborate with university supervisors and council teams, applying AI/ML models to diverse data sets and delivering a user-friendly information hub for smarter service matching.

Qualifications

• Graduates in Computing/CS/Software Engineering/Data Science or IT.
• Willingness to work on AI tool development and data analysis.
• Ability to collaborate with academic supervisors and local council teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, build, implementation and embedding of Flintshire County Council’s AI decision support tool within frontline service delivery.
• Coordinate with Wrexham University and Flintshire County Council teams to deploy the AI hub for housing services.
• Analyze data to provide insights on service demand and gaps to support smarter commissioning.
