Job summary

Intellectual Capital Resources is seeking an AI System Architect to help deliver an AI accelerator for data centres. You will define architecture that pushes compute speeds and dramatically lowers energy use while addressing frontier problems in AI-driven silicon design.

You will contribute to an AI-first culture where hardware exists to maximise model performance, with high impact from day one on product direction and strategy.

Job description

Salary: £59,000 - 99,000 per year

Requirements:

• Deep AI/ML expertise, including transformers, CNNs, recommender systems, and strong intuition for compute and memory behaviour
• Architecture experience designing systems or chips for ML training and inference
• Performance modelling experience, including roofline analysis, bandwidth modelling, and cycle-level estimation
• Hardware-software fluency, including ISA design, compiler interfaces, runtimes, and datapath microarchitecture
• Industry background at AI-chip startups or major AI-hardware teams such as TPU, MTIA, Trainium, or Dojo
• Compiler-stack familiarity with MLIR, XLA, TVM, Triton, and how they shape hardware choices
• Strong written specs and data-driven decision-making
