Job summary

EY UK is seeking an Associate Director to lead AI strategy engagements and shape enterprise AI roadmaps for clients. You will manage day-to-day client relationships, oversee multidisciplinary teams, and deliver commercially impactful AI strategies and due diligence.

You will convert client questions into robust hypotheses, build workplans and influence executive decision-making. A track record in strategy consulting and AI-focused delivery is essential.

Qualifications

• At least six years of management consulting experience in a recognised strategy/management consulting firm.
• Experience at Senior Manager / Engagement Manager level or equivalent.
• At least two years of substantive AI-focused experience (AI strategy, AI-enabled transformation, AI due diligence).
• Proven track record leading major workstreams from planning through delivery.
• Experience engaging directly with senior client stakeholders and presenting to boards or investment committees.
• Experience developing boards, C-suite or investment committee materials under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead sizeable AI strategy engagements, serving as the primary day-to-day client lead with oversight from Directors and Partners.
• Convert client questions into hypotheses, workplans and decision points; manage engagement scope and economics.
• Deliver enterprise AI strategies and roadmaps, including value cases and prioritisation of use cases.
• Lead buy-side AI due diligence, assess AI capabilities, risks and value creation potential.
• Manage senior stakeholders, facilitate interviews/workshops, and communicate complex AI topics in commercial language.
• Lead and develop cross-functional teams, coaching and mentoring so as to deliver high-quality outputs.
• Support business development, contribute to proposals, and shape AI strategy propositions for clients.
• Build EY-Parthenon's AI Strategy capabilities and contribute to thought leadership.
