Job summary

CuspAI is hiring a Security Engineer to build automated security pipelines and AI-specific guardrails for our frontier materials research platform. You will protect our IP, scale security as we grow, and help embed security as a core product feature.

You will lead the shift-left security effort across cloud, CI/CD, and containerized environments, collaborating with AI researchers, chemists, and engineers to keep fast-paced innovation secure and compliant.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a DevSecOps, Cloud Security, or SRE role in a fast-paced startup or AI-focused company.
• Proven experience building and securing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Strong Infrastructure as Code skills (Terraform, Pulumi) and securing cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Deep understanding of container security and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Secure end-to-end ML lifecycle and defend against data poisoning.
• Design and deploy prompt-injection defenses and runtime firewalls for LLM interfaces.
• Implement AI Security Posture Management to monitor models, datasets, and endpoints.
• Weave security guardrails into CI/CD workflows and codify security policies with IaC.
• Lead incident response and enable engineers with security tooling and training.
