Job summary

Checkout.com is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer I to design and implement security controls for AI/ML solutions, including LLM-based apps, and to secure cloud infrastructure. You will assess risks, develop guardrails, and work with Engineering, Data Governance, GRC, and business teams to embed AI security at scale.

The role focuses on integrating AI governance, risk management, and secure deployment practices while advancing cyber defence capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in cyber security engineering, security architecture, or a related security role.
• Strong understanding of core security domains such as IAM, cloud security, application security, data protection, logging/monitoring, and incident response.
• Knowledge of AI/ML and LLM concepts, including model deployment, APIs, embeddings, vector stores, prompts, and AI security risks.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls for AI and ML solutions, including LLM-based apps and cloud infrastructure.
• Assess security, privacy, and compliance risks in AI systems, including model misuse and data leakage.
• Develop standards, guardrails, and reference architectures for secure AI use across the org.
