Job summary

PoloWorks is seeking an AI Security Architect to own the security posture of AI tooling across the Marco Group. The role will define how the Group adopts AI safely, and will report to the Group Head of Information Security.

Based in Cheltenham, this permanent role focuses on platform security for Claude and Copilot, risk assessment, secure-by-design AI development, and governance of third-party AI usage.

Qualifications

• Experience designing security architectures for cloud and SaaS environments.
• Ability to run structured AI risk assessments and translate into controls.
• Knowledge of AI governance and data handling regulations (DORA, UK GDPR).
• Experience with vendor risk management and due diligence for AI tools.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own platform security for AI tools like Claude and Copilot and enforce data access controls.
• Develop and maintain AI risk assessment framework and tool register.
• Partner with engineering to embed secure-by-design practices in AI development.
• Contribute AI-specific clauses to vendor contracts and DPAs.
• Report AI risk posture to governance committees and support regulatory alignment.
