Job summary

Pontoon is seeking a Security Automation and AI SOC Engineer to accelerate the evolution of our Security Operations through automation, orchestration and AI adoption. The role focuses on reducing manual effort, improving consistency and enabling analysts to spend more time on high-value security activities.

Responsibilities include designing automation workflows with Torq/Tines/Swimlane, defining AI governance, and shaping the future operating model for analysts working alongside AI agents.

Qualifications

• Experience designing an AI adoption strategy for a SOC.
• Hands-on experience with security orchestration and automation platforms.
• Ability to design AI-assisted investigations and governance.
• Experience in enterprise SOC environments.
• Strong scripting or development skills (Python).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain security automation workflows using hyper-automation platforms (Torq, Tines, Swimlane or similar).
• Identify manual, repetitive activities suitable for automation within the SOC.
• Develop automated triage, enrichment, investigation and response workflows.
• Improve integration between security tooling, ticketing platforms and asset inventories.
• Establish standards, documentation and best practices for automation development.
• Track and demonstrate measurable efficiency gains through automation.
• Assess opportunities to safely introduce AI into SOC workflows.
• Design and implement AI-assisted investigation, triage and analyst support capabilities.
• Define governance and human oversight models for AI-enabled operations.
• Measure AI effectiveness and operational benefit.
• Ensure AI complements analysts rather than replacing them.
• Define future operating model for analysts with AI agents.
