Job summary

Magentic is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to own the data foundation powering AI agents for global procurement workflows. You’ll design and operate ingestion pipelines, define schemas and catalogues, and enforce data quality and lineage standards for enterprise use. Work with AI, Platform and Product teams to deliver data at scale.

The role focuses on building end-to-end data solutions at pace in a hybrid London HQ setup, with strong emphasis on data quality, governance and secure practices.

Qualifications

• Experience at tech/product-driven companies with a strong focus on data quality and governance.
• Proven ability to scale data platforms and manage large data stacks.
• Comfort designing and implementing end-to-end data pipelines and schemas.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate ingestion pipelines processing high-volume data from global supply chain systems.
• Define, evolve, and manage data schemas and catalogues from raw stages to analytics-ready stores.
• Build end-to-end monitoring and observability for pipelines, ensuring data quality, latency, completeness and lineage.
• Champion secure, governed data practices across teams.
• Collaborate with AI, Platform and Product teams provisioning data sets and feature tables at scale.
