Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S is seeking a Director to lead AI Platform Architecture & Engineering from London. You will own the AI platform vision, target architecture, and the operating model across R&D and enterprise, driving reliable, scalable AI services in cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.

You will guide architecture and engineering for AI/ML platforms, compute, storage, and HPC, ensuring governance and compliance in a regulated pharmaceutical landscape.

Qualifications

• Educational background in software engineering, computer science, data, AI, infrastructure, or platform engineering leadership.
• Experience leading global teams.
• Experience building enterprise AI platforms, advanced compute, HPC, or storage infrastructure at scale.
• Experience in a regulated industry, with pharmaceutical or life-sciences experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• AI Platform Strategy and Leadership: own vision, architecture, roadmap, engineering strategy, operating model.
• Architecture and Engineering: lead AI/ML platforms, data platforms, cloud, Kubernetes, and platform operations.
• Advanced Compute and HPC Infrastructure: design GPU, supercomputing, high-performance environments; manage capacity and cost.
• Storage and Data Infrastructure: lead petabyte-scale storage, data movement, and governance.
• MLOps, LLMOps, and Responsible AI: enable training, deployment, monitoring, explainability, and lifecycle management.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Management: align needs with cloud, GPU, storage, networking, and HPC ecosystems.
