Job summary

Marks & Spencer Plc is seeking an AI Ops Manager to oversee the reliability, cost efficiency, and evolution of enterprise-scale AI services. You will operate across data platforms, AI engineering, product teams, and governance to move AI from experiments to production-grade capabilities.

In a Databricks, Azure, and Foundry ecosystem, you will establish and run AI Ops practices covering usage, cost, quality, risk, and lifecycle management to scale AI safely and measurably drive business

Qualifications

• An experienced technology leader with a proven track record operating AI and machine learning solutions at enterprise scale.
• Deep knowledge of AI operations, model lifecycle management, cloud platforms, and modern data ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the enterprise AI Ops operating model, establishing standards, governance, and ownership across all AI services.
• Own the operational performance of AI products, monitoring usage, adoption, business value, reliability, and service health.
• Drive AI cost transparency and optimisation across Azure, Databricks, model inferencing, and supporting platform services.
• Govern the end-to-end AI lifecycle, including model onboarding, deployment, monitoring, retraining, version upgrades, and retirement.
• Lead AI incident, change, resilience, and responsible AI processes, ensuring production services remain trusted, secure, and compliant.
