Job summary

GlobalLogic in London seeks a Pi-shaped Software Engineer / Platform Developer to build and maintain the central platform used by software teams, combining deep software engineering with a second strength in Platform/DevOps.

They will work directly with clients, treat platform engineering as a product, and ensure smooth integration of assets into product squads while leveraging AI tooling for rapid adaptation.

Qualifications

• Pi-shaped engineering fundamentals: strong software engineering with DevOps, testing, and platform engineering.
• Modern language proficiency: TS, Python, or Java; AI-powered adaptation allowed.
• Hands-on with Claude Code / AI tooling in daily workflow.
• AI-native development: prompt-first, AI pair programming, agent-assisted development.
• Better developer experience: self-serve docs, templates, and examples.
• Familiarity with CI/CD: GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
• IaC concepts (Terraform, CloudFormation) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Consultative mindset with clear client communication.
• Documentation-focused: write guides and integration docs.
• Collaborative style: pair programming and cross-team support.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD templates, pipelines, and automation scripts for central use.
• Implement Claude Code skills and MCP servers per designs, testing and iterating via squad feedback.
• Support golden path tooling: templates, scaffolding tools, and standards alignment.
• Publish platform assets across channels, perform compatibility checks, and update docs.
• Assist delivery squads with platform integration questions and debugging at the platform boundary.
• Act as trusted consultant to articulate technical value to client stakeholders.
• Write and maintain documentation for all platform components.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to architectural evolution.
