Job summary

CommonAI Compute is seeking a capable software engineer to join our Cambridge team. You will build and ship features for customer-facing multi-cloud AI compute products, using and developing coding agents for implementation, testing, and documentation under senior review for high-risk changes.

You will own the correctness and security of your code, diagnose issues across Linux, networks, containers and cloud environments, and collaborate with founders, engineers and customers on defined pieces

Qualifications

1–3 years of building and shipping real software in a professional setting
Solid debugging judgment and ability to read unfamiliar code
Comfortable in Linux with deployment/ops exposure (containers, cloud, CI/CD, observability)
Degree-level education in a technical/scientific discipline
Experience with backend services, developer tools, or infrastructure products

Responsibilities

Build and ship features for customer-facing multi-cloud AI compute products
Use and develop coding agents for implementation, testing, and documentation
Own the correctness and security of your code with review on higher-risk changes
Diagnose day-to-day issues in Linux, networking, containers and cloud environments
Collaborate with founders, engineers and customers on defined pieces of larger projects
Experiment with new AI tools and provide feedback on their usefulness
