Job summary

Wayve in London is seeking a Model Release Manager to own the full lifecycle of AI model releases, from hypothesis through training, evaluation, and deployment across our vehicle fleet.

You will balance speed and rigor, implement gates, drive improvements, and collaborate with ML engineering, data science, software platform, testing, and product teams to ensure stable, high-quality releases in our hybrid London office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in release management or related field.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and release practices.
• Conceptual understanding of ML fundamentals and model versions.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (GitHub, Buildkite, CLI tools).
• Able to manage releases in complex, fast-moving systems with high ambiguity.
• Excellent communication with engineers and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the model release cycle and cadence.
• Define and run gates for promotion across lifecycle.
• Drive investigations on regressions and rollbacks; manage versioning.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement dashboards and KPIs.
• Build processes and tooling to support release stability and clarity.
• Collaborate with ML engineering, evaluation, data science, software platform, testing and product teams.
• Act as central point of contact for release status, risks and timelines.
