Job summary

NatWest Group is recruiting an AI Engineering Lead to direct the design, build and deployment of ML models and AI systems. You will translate decision strategies into production-grade solutions, establish ML engineering standards, and partner with Analytics, Product and Technology to deliver end-to-end decisioning capabilities.

You’ll lead ML platform architecture and infrastructure for secure AI deployment, guide the team, and drive innovation while ensuring governance, risk, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and delivering production-grade ML and AI systems.
• Strong expertise in ML engineering, lifecycle management, and deployment.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage risk & governance.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end lifecycle of AI/ML models from development to deployment and monitoring.
• Oversee model performance, drift, and real-world effectiveness in production.
• Embed controls, validation, and governance within AI/ML solutions.
• Ensure scalable, resilient AI systems aligned with enterprise architecture.
• Lead and develop a high-performing ML engineering team.
