Job summary

BT Group is seeking an Innovation & Strategy Specialist in London (and Ipswich) to identify and rapidly prove emerging AI technologies that can enhance how BT colleagues work. The role sits at the intersection of innovation, solution architecture and vendor engagement, focusing on rapid prototyping, PoCs and strategic tech recommendations.

You’ll work across core AI stacks including Microsoft, AWS and Google, translating external advances into scalable opportunities for the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in AI innovation and rapid prototyping across platforms.
• Broad technical understanding of AI platforms and cloud ecosystems.
• Hands-on experience building PoCs, prototypes or experimental solutions.
• Strong understanding of modern AI architectures including agents, copilots, APIs and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Scan and evaluate emerging AI technologies and trends.
• Lead rapid prototyping and PoC development to validate new capabilities.
• Collaborate with the Agent Factory to design early-stage solutions.
• Provide architecture guidance and feasibility assessments for AI use cases.
• Ensure PoCs are scalable and align with BT architecture principles.
