Job summary

CPS Group UK are partnering with a global Financial Services organisation to source an ambitious AI Innovation Lab Engineer to join a newly established innovation team in London. You will identify, test and scale high-value AI opportunities across the enterprise.

This is a build-first, autonomous role where you’ll prototype quickly, test with real users, and turn concepts into enterprise-scale solutions. Start ASAP on a 6-month contract with a daily rate of £450–£480.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience building AI-enabled solutions or prototypes.
• Experience with AI platforms and large language model technologies.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI agents, automations and intelligent workflows across enterprise platforms.
• Prototype and experiment with generative AI and large language model solutions.
• Design and run pilot programmes with business users.
• Measure outcomes, track benefits, and evaluate success against objectives.
• Rapidly iterate solutions based on feedback and real-world performance.
• Prepare and analyse data to support prototype development and testing.
