Job summary

SVGC Limited is seeking a Data Science Manager to lead a team of data scientists in developing and deploying AI solutions across public sector procurement.

You will act as the primary point of contact for data science issues, manage end-to-end ML lifecycle, ensure governance, and work with partners to scale innovative AI across multiple contracts. Applicants must hold SC clearance and have a numerate degree.

Qualifications

• Must hold Security Checked (SC) clearance or be eligible and willing to obtain SC clearance.
• Degree in a numerate subject (Maths/Engineering/Physics) or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills with relevant experience in AI/GenAI deployments.
• Experience leading and mentoring a Data Science team across multiple projects.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end lifecycle for development and deployment of AI/ML solutions (MLOps/GenAIops).
• Manage people, processes, and documentation for AI initiatives across several concurrent projects.
• Ensure quality assurance and governance of data science activities and models.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to align AI solutions with business outcomes.
