Willis Towers Watson in the United Kingdom is seeking an AI Economics & FinOps Lead to maximise value from AI and GenAI spend, governance and token economics across cloud platforms. Hybrid role with in-office two days a week in Reigate.

You will drive cost efficiency, own the FinOps model for AI and cloud, and develop frameworks, dashboards and reports to inform leadership on token usage, unit economics and value realisation.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in AI/ML or GenAI cost management with token-based models; Azure preferred.
• Working knowledge of GenAI pricing structures across providers.
• Experience with token usage monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with Azure Cost Management, tagging, forecasting and budgeting.
• Experience translating cloud and AI consumption data into accountable actions.
• Strong reporting and analytical abilities.
• Hands-on experience in Power BI.
• Ability to translate data into clear visual insights.
• Ability to work independently.
• FinOps Certified Practitioner or equivalent; AI/cloud certifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Be go-to expert for AI tool usage and governance; lead Token Economics group.
• Drive cost efficiency by analysing cloud and AI spending.
• Own and evolve the FinOps operating model for AI and cloud estate.
• Improve cost allocation, tagging, showback or chargeback and ownership.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product and Finance to align usage with business goals.
• Analyse LLM/model pricing across providers and tiers.
• Provide training and documentation to empower teams.
• Research and evaluate new Azure services and AI capabilities for innovation.
• Maintain a balanced optimisation pipeline including reservations and savings plans.
• Develop AI FinOps and Token Economics frameworks and policies.
• Create metrics and dashboards with AI unit economics and KPIs.
• Lead cloud and AI forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis.
• Conduct FinOps maturity assessments and prioritise governance improvements.
• Stay updated with cloud cost management and AI cost governance trends.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
