Job summary

Citi in Belfast is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to drive design, development, and delivery of AI-powered applications within a global technology team. The role focuses on architecting scalable AI solutions, mentoring engineers, and shaping technical direction for data and automation at scale.

You will lead RAG pipelines and agent orchestration, partner with multiple teams, and enforce coding standards and testing practices to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in software or application development.
• Hands-on proficiency in Python for application development and ETL.
• Experience building RAG pipelines and agent orchestration frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop AI-driven applications and data pipelines using Python.
• Lead design and implementation of Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems and agent orchestration frameworks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust implementations.
