Job summary

Boots UK is seeking an AI Engineering Lead to shape and scale AI capabilities across the organisation. You will set engineering standards, drive DevOps for AI, and establish secure, production-ready AI solutions in partnership with architecture, security, data, and platform teams.

You will lead and mature Boots’ AI engineering capability, mentoring engineers and ensuring governance and responsible AI practices across the deployment lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, developing, and deploying AI or intelligent applications
• Strong CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud-based platforms
• Ability to define technical standards and reusable frameworks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Experience collaborating with Architecture, Security, Data teams
• Understanding of AI governance and enterprise security controls

Responsibilities

• Define AI engineering standards, patterns, and best practices
• Evolve the AI engineering roadmap and capability maturity
• Establish reusable frameworks, accelerators, and assets
• Lead AI DevOps, deployment, monitoring, observability
• Support design and delivery of AI solutions and AI-enabled apps
• Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Governance teams on guardrails
• Mentor engineers and enhance AI engineering capability
