Understanding Recruitment is helping a fast-growing UK AI company to hire an AI Engineer who bridges research and production. The role focuses on turning new ideas in predictive ML, causal modelling and Generative AI into robust systems.

You will work across ML, deep learning, transformers, and large-scale data projects, collaborating with researchers, product and engineering teams to shape technology roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL
• Experience deploying ML into production
• Solid knowledge of traditional ML techniques
• Understanding of deep learning and transformers
• Exposure to Generative AI
• Statistical knowledge and an interest in causal modelling
• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD
• MSc or PhD is beneficial, but not essential
• 30 days holiday + bank holidays

Responsibilities

• Take new ML and AI models from research into production
• Work across traditional ML, deep learning, transformers and Generative AI

• Work closely with researchers, academics, product and engineering teams
• Contribute to architecture and longer-term technical roadmaps
• Lead and contribute to R&D sprints
• Build reliable, high-quality ML software
