AI Engineer – LLMs & AI | £80k–£120k + Equity | Remote-Heavy (London HQ)

We’re looking for a Software Engineer with strong experience in LLMs or adjacent AI fields to help build cutting-edge systems and tools that tackle complex, meaningful problems. You’ll be joining a small, highly capable team with a strong technical culture and the freedom to innovate fast.

In this role, you'll design and build scalable systems powered by LLMs, develop intelligent internal tooling, and apply AI techniques to solve real-world engineering challenges. You’ll work closely with product and engineering teams to ship quickly, experiment with new ideas, and help shape the core technical direction of the business. This is a hands-on role with significant autonomy, ownership, and impact from day one.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong software engineering background (Python, Go, Rust, or similar)
• Experience working with LLMs, language tooling, NLP, or compilers
• Practical knowledge of modern backend practices (Docker, CI/CD, scalable infra)
• Curious, analytical mindset with a bias toward experimentation and iteration
• Enjoys working in a high-ownership, fast-paced startup environment

Nice to have (but not required):

• Experience with APIs, SaaS, data pipelines, or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
• Familiarity with TypeScript or modern frontend/backend stacks
