Job summary

Worldpay (UK) Limited is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join its AI Innovation & Technology team in London. You will explore, prototype, and productionize AI capabilities across Generative AI, NLP, and LLMs to drive measurable business impact.

You will own end-to-end AI projects, from model design to deployment, collaborating with product and engineering teams to unlock high-value use cases in payments and fintech.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in AI, ML, DS or related fields.
• Strong Python programming with hands-on ML framework experience.
• Proficiency in deep learning, NLP and LLM architectures; fine-tuning and domain adaptation.
• Experience deploying AI models to production and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy ML/AI models and foundational models for real-world use cases.
• Research emerging AI technologies and run proof-of-concepts to scale opportunities.
• Develop agentic AI workflows and integration with existing infrastructure.

Drive best practices for AI model deployment, monitoring, and continual improvement.Ensure AI solutions comply with organizational security, ethical guidelines, and regulatory standards.Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to identify and deliver high-impact AI opportunities.Stay at the forefront of advancements in AI, foundation models, and autonomous agents.What you’ll bring5+ years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related fields.Strong Python skills and experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face.Experience taking AI proof-of-concepts from idea to production.Strong knowledge of deep learning, NLP, and LLM architectures and experience in fine-tuning LLMs or training domain-specific models, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases.Familiarity with agentic AI concepts and orchestration frameworks.Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.A curious, hands-on mindset with a desire to experiment, learn, and build.Experience with multimodal AI, AI governance, or MLOps.Bonus PointsAdvanced degree in AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or related disciplines.Research, publications, patents, or open-source contributions in AI/ML.Knowledge of payments, fintech, or financial services.About the teamOur inclusive and global teams win together every day.
