Job summary

Vega in London is seeking an AI Engineer to join our fast-growing startup, working in-office four days a week. You will build AI-powered features across AltOS, take ideas from research to production, and ship end-to-end with minimal bureaucracy.

You should have hands-on experience with modern AI tooling and cloud platforms; we value initiative, collaboration, and the ability to work in ambiguity. Competitive salary and equity await.

Vega is transforming the way private markets operate. Alternative asset management is one of the most influential forces in the global economy, with over $20TN in assets today. Over the next five years, the industry is set to grow 3x, but GPs are facing challenges around their ability to handle the investment flows that are coming in. Who succeeds in this role

In this role, you will:

• Work directly with business and engineering teams to take ideas from research to production. You will need to have the ability and the ambition to understand business needs and client requirements to deliver at the highest level.
• Build AI-powered features across AltOS, including agents, document intelligence, workflow automation, and knowledge retrieval systems.
• Own problems end-to-end, from scoping and architecture through to shipping and iteration while keeping up to date with developments in AI. Examples of previous AI projects are a plus.
• Help define how AI is applied across Vega's products and internal workflows.
