Job summary

DNS Info Ltd. is seeking an experienced AI-Enabled Payments Test Automation Engineer to join a payments technology team in the UK. You will design, develop and run automated tests across complex payment platforms, using AI-driven testing to enhance coverage and release confidence.

The role requires JavaScript-based automation, Selenium/Cucumber, and knowledge of payment systems (SEPA, BACS, SWIFT, ISO 20022). Onsite work in Bournemouth is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cucumber).
• Hands-on JavaScript for automation scripts and Cucumber step definitions.
• Experience with Spring / Spring Boot applications is preferred.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI-Enabled Payments Test Automation Engineer to join a high-performing payments technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions across complex payment platforms while leveraging AI-driven testing practices to improve quality, efficiency, and release confidence.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in test automation, payments domain knowledge, JavaScript-based automation frameworks, and modern software testing methodologies, with experience testing payment systems supporting SEPA, BACS, SWIFT, ISO 20022, and multi-currency transactions.

Key Responsibilities'

• Understand platform architecture and design comprehensive test strategies and test cases.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for both frontend and backend applications.
• Build AI-assisted test automation solutions to improve test coverage, defect prediction, and execution efficiency.
• Collaborate with development teams to establish testing standards, quality gates, and best practices.
• Create and execute complex test scenarios using BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Develop and maintain reusable automation frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, and JavaScript.
• Participate in SIT and UAT phases while coordinating with distributed global teams.
• Act as the primary point of contact during release validation and sign-off activities.
• Identify, analyse, track, and support the resolution of defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Validate payment processing workflows including inbound and outbound payment transactions.
• Ensure compliance with banking and payment industry standards and messaging formats.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

Strong experience with Test Automation Frameworks including:

• Selenium
• Cucumber
• Canary (or equivalent automation tools)

Hands-on experience with JavaScript for writing automation scripts and Cucumber step definitions.

Experience working with Spring / Spring Boot applications (preferred).

Strong understanding of application, data, and infrastructure architecture.

Experience testing APIs, web applications, and enterprise payment systems.

Knowledge of AI-powered testing tools and automation accelerators.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.
