Job summary

HydraB in Oxford is seeking an AI-enabled Frontend Developer to join our team. You’ll work closely with operations, engineering, commercial and fleet teams to translate real needs into fast, clickable prototypes and then turn those into production web apps hosted on Azure.

You’ll use AI tools like Claude Code and ChatGPT to accelerate delivery while maintaining your own judgement about quality and safety. The role is hybrid in Oxford and reports to the Head of Digital.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial frontend development with production apps
• Strong frontend skills: TypeScript, React, HTML/CSS, accessibility and responsive design
• Experience using AI coding tools daily on real projects
• Experience working with non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements
• Ability to explain technical trade-offs to different audiences
• Self-starter who can turn a loose brief into a concrete solution
• Care about whether the product gets used, not just works

Responsibilities

• Turn conversations with internal teams into clickable prototypes and user-facing apps
• Create production-quality web apps on Azure from prototypes
• Build interfaces over operational data in Snowflake and Fabric
• Develop reusable components, templates and AI workflows to speed up builds
• Manage priorities and coordinate deliverables across multiple internal customers
• Support colleagues in using AI-assisted development through pairing and demos
