Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Tech Risk & Controls Lead to identify and mitigate technology risks, ensuring controls operate effectively within regulatory and industry standards. You will partner with Product Owners, Data Officers, and control teams to deliver risk insights for senior stakeholders.

You will lead a diverse team, promote AI-assisted risk workflows with strong governance and auditability, and translate technology risks into strategic business actions for executive leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technology risk management, cybersecurity, or related field with regulatory risk mitigation.
• Formal training or certification on technology risk management, cybersecurity concepts and advanced applied experience (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CISM).
• Familiarity with data-driven analysis to inform risk-based decisions.
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support risk and controls workflows with validation and data sensitivity awareness.
• Ability to review AI-assisted risk summaries for security and auditability within regulatory expectations.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks, standards, and financial regulatory requirements.
• Ability to translate technology insights into executive-level business strategies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective identification, quantification, communication, and management of technology risk, focusing on root cause analysis and resolution suggestions.
• Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate synthesis of risk evidence and draft executive-ready reporting with data sensitivity in mind.
• Develop and maintain relationships with LOB technologists, assessments teams, and data officers to enable cross-functional collaboration.
• Execute reporting and governance of controls, policies, issue management, and measurements to inform senior management.
• Monitor and evaluate control effectiveness, identify gaps, and propose enhancements to strengthen risk posture and compliance.
• Promote reuse-first, AI-assisted approaches with human review to ensure auditability and regulatory alignment.
