Job summary

Obsidian seeks a domain expert to lead frontier evaluation of model reasoning in engineering contexts. You will craft simulations and specifications for artifacts that satisfy all criteria, and guide the model to produce robust, testable designs.

You will design pass/fail thresholds, write the prompts, and review results in a browser-based studio with GitHub collaboration, bringing deep expertise in control systems, circuits, and power electronics.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in control systems, analog/RF circuits, power electronics or mechanical design.
• Ability to write simulations in Python and express acceptance criteria as quantitative thresholds.
• Ability to design challenging problems and judge rigorously.

Responsibilities

• Write simulations and specification sheets to guide model reasoning in engineering tasks.
• Define the simulation, specs, and prompts; monitor model calls and final design.
• Evaluate model outputs with quantitative pass/fail thresholds and an agentic grader.
