Job summary

Glasswall is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our small, high-impact Security Engineering team in the UK. You will help embed security throughout the product design and development lifecycle, investigate findings, assess risk and work with engineering on remediation.

We use AI-assisted tools for code review, threat modelling, triage and security testing, and you will help improve these workflows while maintaining human accountability.

Qualifications

• 3-5 Years of Hands-on experience in application security, product security or DevSecOps within a software product environment.
• Experience reviewing unfamiliar code, identifying security defects and explaining them clearly to engineering teams.
• Practical knowledge of threat modelling and risk assessment.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of SAST, DAST or SCA tooling in a CI/CD environment.
• Programming ability in at least one language, plus scripting skills (C#, Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Clear communication and risk-based decision-making balancing security, delivery pace and cost.

Responsibilities

• Conduct threat modelling and secure design reviews for new features and architecture changes.
• Perform secure code reviews and hands-on testing of applications and APIs using SAST/DAST/SCA.
• Triage security findings to prioritise remediation based on reachability and business impact.
• Partner with engineering teams to develop remediation plans and verify fixes.
• Investigate root causes of vulnerabilities and reduce recurrence with secure patterns.
• Integrate, operate and tune security tools across CI/CD workflows.
