Job summary

AiLux in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Director, Project Leader to drive multiple pre-IND programs in immune-mediated and respiratory diseases. You will lead IND-enabling studies, regulatory submissions, and early clinical development, shaping strategy and portfolio growth.

You will oversee cross-functional teams across Biology, AI Drug Design, Translational Sciences, Regulatory Affairs, and Clinical Development, leveraging AI-driven insights to accelerate discovery and ensure timely program

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, or equivalent advanced degree in Immunology, Biology, Pharmacology, or related field.
• 7+ years in biopharma immunology/respiratory R&D.
• IND-enabling program leadership and submission experience.
• Strong FDA/global regulatory knowledge.
• Experience with immune-mediated or respiratory therapies.
• Proven cross-functional leadership in a matrix environment.
• Experience with biologics and multispecifics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead IND-enabling activities and submissions, plus early clinical development.
• Develop integrated program strategies, timelines, budgets, and risk plans.
• Drive decisions to maximize differentiation and program value.
• Oversee IND/CTA submissions and health authority responses.
• Provide updates to senior leadership and governance committees.
• Align biology, AI design, regulatory, and clinical teams on strategy.
