Job summary

Innova Recruitment supports a Manchester-based digital product business hiring a Software Engineer specialising in .NET Core, Azure and AI. You will build scalable APIs, modernise the platform and help embed AI into development workflows.

You’ll join a cross-functional squad, work on REST APIs, cloud-native services, and contribute to AI-assisted engineering within a collaborative environment, with hybrid working in Central Manchester.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience developing applications with latest C# and .NET.Core.
• Experience building REST APIs and backend services.
• Good knowledge of SQL Server and Azure.
• CI/CD and automated testing experience.
• Curiosity around AI, LLMs and the future of software development.
• Experience using Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or openness to adopting them.
• Experience in product-led engineering teams.
• React and TypeScript experience.
• Exposure to PHP or Laravel.
• Azure DevOps and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable applications and APIs using C# and .NET.Core.
• Develop cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Embed quality engineering principles for clean, well-tested software.
• Collaborate with Product, UX and QA in a cross-functional squad.
• Explore AI-assisted development to improve productivity.
• Help implement agentic workflows to automate repetitive tasks.
• Continuously improve performance, scalability and developer experience.
