Job summary

Freshfields, a global law firm, seeks a technology and AI-focused innovator to join our legal tech team in the UK. You will identify AI opportunities, translate workflows into designs, and lead end-to-end AI-enabled solutions that improve service delivery, knowledge management, and efficiency.

Collaborating with lawyers, product managers, and engineers, you’ll prototype ideas, drive governance, privacy, and responsible AI standards, and help scale successful solutions firm-wide.

Qualifications

• Identify and prioritise AI and legal technology opportunities.
• Translate workflows into technical design documents for architecture review.
• Design end-to-end AI-enabled solutions for legal service delivery and knowledge management.
• Build prototypes and proofs of concept to validate designs.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to define requirements and guide delivery.
• Evaluate emerging AI and automation capabilities for practical applications.
• Ensure solutions align with architecture, security, governance and privacy standards.
• Lead workshops and user testing to validate requirements and drive adoption.
• Drive continuous improvement to scale and standardize legal technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with lawyers, practice groups and business stakeholders to identify AI opportunities.
• Translate requirements into solution designs and architecture documents.
• Design AI-enabled solutions that enhance knowledge management and efficiency.
• Create prototypes and proofs of concept to validate designs before engineering effort.
• Work with Product Managers and Engineers to define features and prioritize delivery.
• Assess new AI capabilities and recommend practical uses for the firm.
