Job summary

Currys London Campus at Waterloo seeks a Service Design and Transition Lead to oversee the design, transition and operational readiness of IT services. The role governs the project lifecycle from delivery into Operations and fosters cross-department collaboration with a focus on cloud and automation.

You will drive AI-enabled improvements, define service design plans, manage stakeholders, and mentor teams, with hybrid working and a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering service design and transition within Agile and DevOps operating models.
• Proven ability to align service design with business requirements and project delivery.
• Strong ITSM background ensuring operational effectiveness and strategic alignment.
• Experience coordinating multiple vendors and stakeholders across portfolios.
• Familiarity with AI/automation tooling (AIOps, AI-enabled ITSM)
• Proficient in documenting runbooks, design, and transition materials.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Service Design and Transition Plans aligned with objectives and project delivery.
• Oversee observability standards and AI-driven monitoring for proactive issue resolution.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and vendors.
• Integrate non-functional requirements from inception and manage run costs.
• Provide training materials and runbooks for operational teams.
• Drive continuous process improvements and AI-enabled automation opportunities.
• Champion pragmatic AI adoption within IT Operations and shape an adoption roadmap.
• Coordinate Early Life Support and ensure go-live readiness and service acceptance.
